Oby Ezekwesili reacts to claims she is instigating a coup detat on Buharis governmentOby Ezekwesili via her Twitter handle, responded to this tweet that suggested that she and some other Nigerians including ex President Olusegun Obasanjo, TY Danjuma are instigating a coup d'etat against President Buhari's government. She says in response to one Shehu Abdullahi who brought about the tweet that it is only clowns like him that aid the gross incompetence of the Buhari-led administration. She commanded him to stay on his lane and stop disturbing her timeline. She called the claims of the young man 'tales by moonlight silly story'. She said also in another tweet "I repeat this: I do not think we should mince words and that is why I am not mincing words. We cannot have @NGRPresident who is comfortable to be in the office, spending the night at the villa, unconcerned about the type of challenges that we the citizens are facing.

In the same vein, she further tweeted "If the nonchalant Governance by @NGRPresident@MBuhari is okay by you, that’s fine. Celebrate it as much as you like. That’s your Right to Free Speech and Belief. But don’t you dare try to force your “celebration of incompetence” on those who factually think otherwise". Obiageli Ezekwesili (28 April 1963), popularly known as Oby Ezekwesili, is a Nigerian chartered accountant from Anambra state. She is married to Pastor Nedu Ezekwesili of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).She was a co-founder of Transparency International, serving as one of the pioneer directors of the global anti-corruption body based in Berlin, Germany.

She served as Federal Minister of Solid Minerals and then as Federal Minister of Education during the second-term presidency of Olusegun Obasanjo. Since then, she served as the Vice-President of the World Bank's Africa division from May 2007 to May 2012, she was replaced by Makhtar Diop. Ezekwesili was a 2018 nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize for her work in transparency in the extractive sector. Her career is defined by transparency and due process, which is where her sobriquet “Mama Due Process” stems from. She instituted many public reforms while in government – everything from accountability to policy reform encompassing governance, economics, education and natural resources endowment in Africa.

Ezekwesili is one of the federal government’s most fierce critics who uses every opportunity to criticise its wrongdoing. She is never quiet on policy issues of public importance, corruption or human rights abuse. Meanwhile,the phrase coup d'état comes from French, literally meaning a "stroke of state" or "blow against the state". Furthermore it means the overthrow of an existing government; typically, this refers to an illegal, unconstitutional seizure of power by a dictator, the military, or a political faction". Having Said much,A woman with vast range of experience in government,like Oby Ezekwesili would not want to it think, instigate a coup on s country she knows is striving to survive underdevelopment.A coup will only make matters worse and end up as war and bloody scene.

Oby had from the onset supported transparency in government, she had on various occasions, condemned the incompetence of the presidency and she has no intention of treason or coup at least she claims so.
