The Nigerian government declared August 12 and 13 as public holidays for the 2019 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations and amidst all the Sallah celebrations and unfortunate incidences during the period, President Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday, returned to Abuja after spending his Eid -El-Kabir holiday in his hometown of Daura in Katsina State.

The President had arrived the Umaru Musa International Airport, Katsina from  Daura at about 10.29 a.m, was seen off at the airport by Governor Aminu Masari and top government officials. Before leaving for Abuja, the President took time to address vital issues of insecurity. It should be recalled that Buhari arrived Katsina upper Friday for the Sallah break and while in the state, he hosted the Guinean President, Alpha Conde.

He also went on to inaugurate some projects including the Nigerian Airforce Reference hospital, Daura, and held meetings with the All Progressives Congress governors as well as with some community leaders, among others. President Buhari was also in Batsari where he met some of the Internally Displayed Persons still in a bid to condole with them. It is a good thing our dear president Buhari is back. We urge him to begin to fix issues on ground that needs his attention so that Nigeria would be out of the socio_economic shackles it is currently facing.
