Bachelors & Spinsters, Don't Ignore This

Marriage is amazing.

But you have to make sure you go into it for the right reasons and with the right expectations. Many people go into marriage for the wrong reasons and this is why most marriages usually end up in divorce. Whether your number is 25 or 35, you hit it or are years passed it, you need to erase the concept of it altogether from your mind.

Commitment isn’t about a timeline, it is about an experience line.

Marry when you are ready and have found the right person who is also ready for the big responsibility of marriage, regardless of how old you are, or think you are supposed to be.

Financial security or Health insurance:

If you marry a man for money, his health insurance plan, etc, consider the fact that these things could evaporate at a moment’s notice. There are no guarantees that bank accounts will stay filled, that jobs will stay secure. A marriage built on financial dependency, materialism, lust or any other non-solid foundation is like building a house on sand. When the wind blows, which usually is the case, your marriage will crumble.

Sexual Hunger:

Some people are so sexually driven that they end up seeking someone to care for but in reality, they want sex more than long-lasting intimate relationships. Some people act as if they are “on heat” like dogs, and during those times they find a lover to share their passion. Sometimes the passion remains until the wedding day, but after the wedding day it diminishes into the abyss of frustration and pain.

Getting married because you are tired of having your parents monitor or control you:

This is not a good reason to get married; your husband’s parents or relatives could do worse. You don’t need a man or woman to complete yourself. You are wonderfully and marvelously created. Single-hood is just a phase of your life, enjoy it, pursue a career, set and achieve goals.

Tired of Being Single:

One day you would wish you were still single if you rush into marriage simply because you are tired of being single. Getting married to someone because of physical beauty is like buying a house because of its paint. Anything can happen. Beauty is vain. Wrinkles will visit that beautiful face and those straight legs might bend with time.
