Dija Wuta

Hadiza Blell, better known by her stage name Di'Ja, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. She is currently signed to Mavin Records. In 2009, she released her first single "Rock Steady", which was nominated for Best Urban/R&B Single at the 2009 Canadian Radio Music Awards. Moreover, she won the Best New Artist award at the 2008 Beat Music Awards.

Di'Ja has lived in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, the United States and Canada. Her mother is from Northern Nigeria and her father is from Sierra Leone. Di'Ja's commitment to school earned her a joint degree in biology and psychology. After earning the aforementioned degrees, she found passion in music, art and philosophy. After taking a break from the music scene, the Mavin princess premiers this new project to announce her return.

Even though the song is done mainly in Hausa dialect. Di’Ja's return with “Wuta“, a hit track to be in the playlist, is applaudable. It is a praise of a beautiful maiden like herself obviously. It could actually be for haters to an extent atleast the second verse explains that. Di'ja appreciates the Hausa culture of the Northern part of Nigeria, via the music video.

Scenes of beautiful people, male and female, beautifully adorned and located in the market place and other fun places probably in one of those Hausa communities. Yet, the singer tries to act some contemporary dance steps to add spice to the video. It was shot and directed by Unlimited L.A.
